This collection contains an index of details extracted from Virginia marriage records for the years 1989–2014, as well as images for the years 1936–1993, which fall outside the 25-year privacy restriction. They can contain a variety of details, including:

- marriage date and place
- spouse’s name, birth date, marriage age, gender, race, mother and father’s names
- certificate number
