Connecticut, Stati Uniti, Archivio di decessi e sepolture, 1650-1934

Questo database archivia le informazioni tratte dai documenti di decesso e sepoltura del Connecticut relativi a un periodo di 284 anni.

This database is an index containing details from Connecticut death and burial records.

What’s in the Index

By 1650, town clerks in Connecticut were recording births, marriages, and deaths. Volunteers extracted the death and burial details in this index from microfilmed copies of church, civil, family, and other records of Connecticut deaths and burials. Note that the number of available records can vary widely by county, and this database does not necessarily represent a comprehensive set of death records for the state during this time.

Details included in the records varies depending on record type and how completely forms were filled out. Where included in the original records, this index may list the following:

  • name
  • gender
  • race
  • birth date
  • birthplace
  • occupation
  • residence
  • street address
  • marital status
  • spouse
  • date of death
  • place of death
  • place of burial
  • date of burial
  • cemetery name
  • father’s name and birthplace
  • mother’s name and birthplace
  • FHL film number

While most index entries fall within the years 1772–1934, some may be dated earlier or later.

The FHL film number refers to a microfilm copy of the source held by the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Because this database includes details extracted from family records, researchers will want to confirm facts with original and primary sources.
